Hammers in chase for Liverpool man

|

Adam Lallana remains a target

West Ham remain hopeful of signing Liverpool’s Adam Lallana when his contract runs out at the end of the resumed campaign.

The 31 year old’s Anfield’s future has been on hold for some time and he seems unlikely to be signing another deal at the club.

The Hammers are keen and, as a free transfer, his wages could be funded by departures from the club this summer with both Pablo Zabaleta and Carlos Sanchez among those on their way.

However, despite being an over 30, the attacking midfielder is fancied by a number of clubs given he’s on a free and Leicester City looks a possible destination.

The 31-year-old has made only 19 appearances in all competitions this season, with just three of his Premier League showings coming as a starter.

According to some reports Tottenham and Arsenal are also interested but Leicester have to be favourites given that Foxes boss Brendan Rodgers has a strong relationship with Lallana, having signed him for Liverpool in 2014,

The  King Power club should also  be able to offer him Champions League football in 2020/21.
