Hammers in FA Cup U turn

West Ham have had a change of heart by allowing Hammers loanee midfielder George Moncur to play for Colchester United in a FA cup tie with Gosport Borough.

“West Ham originally said ‘no’ to our request, but they have since said that he can play in the FA Cup for us,” said Colchester United manager Tony Humes during his press conference today.

Moncur spent the pre season training with Colchester and is on loan until January

He has made two first-team appearances for West Ham and has had loan spells at AFC Wimbledon and Patrick
