Hammers in fresh midfielder link

|

Matt-Ritchie-Bournemouth-009West Ham have again been linked with Bournemouth midfielder Matt Ritchie.

Ourselves, Everton and West Brom are reported keen but Cherries boss Eddie Howe is unlikely to let a top line Cherries star to leave the club in the winter.

And the Hammers remain committed to a quiet January anyway with a top source telling ClaretandHugh: “Remind me of any signings at this time of the year who were helpful to us. It’s not a good time to buy.”

Ritchie is a Cherries favourite and has scored three times in his 23 appearances so far this season but with the Irons well served in the midfield area he may not be as high priority as some media outlets are suggesting.

Manchester United are also believed to have been keeping tabs on the player who signed a new three-and-a-half-year contract at Bournemouth 11 months ago and has been playing to the very top of his form.

If we were to take any player from the Cherries, I’d like to see young Stanislas return.
He has really developed well since he left us, with our current crop of players he could be a very useful impact player from the bench (counter attack set up).
In my opinion, he has an all round better game than, Valencia, Moses, Antonio and Zarate.

I like Ritchie too, but can’t see him leaving the Goldsands just yet.

They have a good right back forget the midfield unless you can trade Noble as part of the deal,
Same with Antonio and Jelavic maybe someone in the lower leagues like Leeds would take one of them or both for their right back,

Good player, but will Bournemouth sell? I thought we had no money for the January window, or is that a game we play, we could move on a few players we have so much dead weight, save some wages, but who would take them is the problem.

  • WestGoaHam says:

Yeah, what happened to the back we were so desperately after? More than a bit confusing.

  • Michael Miller says:

Ritchie’s good but will Bournemouth really let him go?

..And our need is for Strikers and a right back anyway – sounds like his Agent is strirring the pot – next!
