Hammers in good shape

|

By Hughie Southon

The Hammers look in good shape for the crucial clash at Anfield on Sunday afternoon with Jarrod Bowen the only doubt.

Should he miss the game it will be assumed that Mo Kudus will step up following his inspirational  performance against TSC in the Euro League match last night.

Edson Alvarez looks (right) certain to return with a team not dissimilar to the one that did so well for so long against Manchester City.

The only other Hammers injury issue is to Aaron Cresswell who is nursing a hamstring problem but is    very much second choice to Emerson now anyway.

Liverpool will continue to assess Trent Alexander-Arnold, who has been out for two matches with a hamstring issue. He has targeted the weekend game but retains only a 50/50 chance of playing a part.

Ryan Gravenberch, withdrawn against LASK Linz because of cramp, should be available but this game is expected to come too soon for Thiago Alcantara.
