West Ham has made an inquiry about signing Lucas Pérez from Arsenal this summer claims the Times today. The 28-year-old Spanish striker has only made two Premier League starts since signing from Deportivo La Coruna for £17m last summer.
The report says Slaven Bilic admires Pérez’s qualities and thinks that he may be available as Arsenal are planning to reshape their own strike force, particularly with Alexis Sánchez set to leave. But he will not come cheap as Arsenal rejected an offer of £26 million from a Chinese Super League club in January.
Its a mystery why he hasn’t had more game time, has looked a real handful when he has played. Hopefully this will come to fruition, hopefully if he does sign he will avoid the West Ham injury curse also.
