West Ham are looking at a near £20 million windfall this season from the league position payments.
And if they can hold on to sixth or seventh place then manager Slaven Bilic will be in line for extra payment, given his bonuses kick in at eighth place – unlike his predecessor who negotiated a deal which gave him the perk wherever the Hammers finished.
The Premier League clubs receive around £1.3m per position at the end of the season and should the club hold on to their current sixth place that would give them £19.5m.
Seventh place would land them £18.2m whilst a push into fifth would see them break through the £20m ceiling and pick up a cool £20.8m.
A source said: “It’s been a brilliant season wherever we finish. It would be difficult to be any more pleased with the way things have gone but we carry on now looking to win the final four games.
