West Ham are in the race to sign midfielder Hans Vanaken from Club Brugge in the summer, according to a new report from Voetbal24.
Vanaken has been linked with the Irons before, with the club seemingly considering a move in the summer.
He is approaching his peak at the age of 29 and has been in exceptional form this season, scoring eight goals and laying on five assists.
A deal does not appear to be in the offing in January, with the midfielder seemingly focused on life in Belgium and aiming to win the award for the best player in the country.
The Hammers are said to be in the mix to bring him into the club in the summer, if Vanaken does look to move on, while there is also said to be interest from other Premier League sides too.
Vanaken has been with Brugge since 2015 and has also won a total of 17 caps for Belgium, scoring three goals for his country.
