Carl Jenkinson is currently in talks with West Ham and club insiders are hopeful that a deal to sign the Arsenal right back is close.
Claretandhugh has been contacted over the past few minutes by a well placed insider to explain the club is “hopeful” of getting the player into the Boleyn.
The Irons see the attacking wing back as an ideal addition to the squad and are ahead of Hull City and several others in the race to sign the 22 year old.
Our source said: “Talks are going on as we speak and we are hopeful it will be sorted out soon.
“However, it’s unlikely that anything will be tied up today.”
