Hammers injury boost

Aaron Cresswell is set to return to action on Saturday after missing the weekend defeat at Everton.

The left back is understood to be recovering well from a small groin injury which saw Arthur Masuaku take his place at Goodison Park.

The groin issue came at exactly the wrong time for Cress after he had shown some of his best form in several months.

However, we were told the player looks certain to be available for the game against Sheffield United at the London Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

We were told by a Hammers source on the’phone : “It was only a very small injury and we are pretty well certain that he will be back for the weekend game.”

That is bound to come as positive news good news given to the fan base who saw Masuaku again suffer defensively when becoming involved in the build up to the first goal.

Meanwhile, there have been no injury reports regarding Felipe Anderson so it can be assumed his removal from the action was tactical.
