Hammers injury update

Maxwel Cornet has a chance of returning to the Hammers squad for the match against Crystal Palace at the weekend.

The former Burnley winger was injured in the game against Wolves on October 1 and his recovery has been delayed from the two weeks put on it soon after.

However, we understand that the 26 year old has a chance of returning to the squad for the Palace game and that Nayef Aguerd may also be considered following his recovery after the injury he picked up in pre-season in Scotland.

However, it is probably more likely that Craig Dawson will retain his position at central defence alongside Kurt Zouma after appearing in the Old Trafford game with Aguerd coming in for the European Conference Thursday at FSCB.

That is now of course a dead rubber and probably presents a good opportunity for the central defender to continue a patient return to action,
