Hammers injury update

jtJames Tomkins rehabilitation following surgery on his dislocated shoulder has been progressing and he has been running on the pitch successfully. He will begin full training with the Development Squad before returning to training with the first-team squad. There is a chance he will be available for selection this season however he privately told Hammers fans at the awards ceremony it is doubtful he will be risked before the end of the season.Diafra Sakho visited a specialist for a scan on his thigh this week. He has healed sufficiently to start running on the pitch independently.

Winston Reid continues his rehab and is working his way back to full fitness following his hamstring injury, as is the case for Doneil Henry.

Guy Demel has resumed individual training sessions on the pitch after his calf injury, while Andy Carroll continues to work hard on his rehab following knee surgery.

Hammers Head of medicine Stijn Vandenbrocke who gave an injury update on the official West Ham website WHUFC.com admitted he was injured  himself while cycling to the Training Ground when he crashed and suffered a broken collarbone and was taken by ambulance to hospital.
