Danny Ings will NOT be leaving West Ham for another league whose transfer window is still open, and his contract will not be terminated by mutual consent, a club source confirmed to C&H’s Sean Whetstone earlier today.
There had been a rumour circulating that Ings could be offloaded in the coming days, but the Hammers insider quashed the speculation, saying, “He’s very happy at West Ham and wants to go nowhere. We had some good players missing from the bench until we get injuries.”
Whether the final comment indicates that Ings can expect to see his game time limited is open to interpretation. However, the former Liverpool forward is likely to find game time incredibly hard to come by in the coming months.
Presumably, Ings is comfortable with his role as a squad player, as demonstrated by the fact that he rejected more than one chance to leave West Ham during the transfer window.
Is it not the case we couldn’t let him go even if we wanted to because of the amount of home grown players we need
He has a contract paying good money. Obviously lacking ambition but do you blame him?
Outrageous salary for a very poor striker with a terrible injury record and a very poor goal scoring record, but that’s a typical Moyes buy, premier league experience even if they have appalling records,
I reckon he is in J-Lo’s plans. He works better with another stroke partner so maybe we will see him and Fulkrug together at some point.
£125,000 per week or £6.5 million per year salary and didn’t even make the bench! Can you honestly see any other club paying that much for him based on his poor goal scoring record? Always loved being a fan but footballer’s salaries are completely beyond what any of us can ever dream of.
Happy to sit on the bench, making a very living hardly playing when he could have moved on & get regular game time… you have to question why.
Because they gave him the contract to sign and he did.if Sully wants to break the contract then pay him up. Its quite simple. If not then suck it up.
He knows he’s mugged west ham on wages ‘.got nothingto do with football
