Hammers interest in Roma striker

desWest Ham are interested in signing Roma striker Mattia Destro claims the Daily Express.

The striker has recently returned to the Serie A club after spending the last six months on loan at AC Milan. Destro could only managed 3 goals in 14 domestic appearances, and Italian website Tuttomercatoweb claims that he has no future under manager Rudi Garcia.

The 24-year-old was linked with both Chelsea and Real Madrid last summer. However, it is said that Roma are looking to offload Destro permanently, with West Ham and Arsenal both said to be tracking him.

    Austin for me,but im sure he will be seen by the daves as far too expensive at 15m.Which proves where we are atm.No matter what big talk they come out with they are still bargain basement.

    I like the Daves but I really question if they have the financial clout to get us into the top 5. Austin is the obvious choice but they are hesitating and looking to go cheaper. Pay peanuts you get get monkies. Once we get to the new stadium I think we need new investment to progress.

    Leave off, another one of the saves pipe dreams. Why not just stop being tight *******s and buy Austin for f*ck sake, or offer Maiga/Jarvis and money?! 3 goals?! I’d rather we bought Abel Hernandes from Hull then this bloke

    I agree with bubs. I’d much rather spend the extra on Austin. He is proven in the PL and a much smaller risk. I’m skeptical about players being moved on like this.

    If we want our striker to only get 3 goals a season we should’ve kept Carlton. Ffs. Offer Jarvis and 5 mill to QPR for Austin.

    We pay £9 million for him and his 2 goals a season but won’t pay £15 million for Austin and his 18 goals a season,
