Hammers keep an eye on Arsenal star

Jack_Wilshere_warm_up_-_12_Feb_2014_(cropped)Jack Wilshere still has his heart set on a Hammers move and the club is still watching developments surrounding him closely.

Despite his injury record, the Irons may be ready to move in January but at nothing like the £20 million being asked by Arsenal.

Wilshere is reported as having had no talks with the Gunners about extending his stay at the Emirates and will be free to talk to overseas clubs in January but he remains keen to make the switch to the London Stadium.

He broke his leg at Bournemouth last season and is currently involved with the under23s team having been sent off in a recent game.

He is right out of favour at Arsenal however, and a switch to West Ham is his number one priority after we kept him in our sights through the summer but were not ready to pay anything close to £20 million.

  1. Personally I would not touch him with a bargepole. Of course he has talent but this has been eroded by constant injuries and a liking for fags/booze. Even when not injured, he did not set the world alight at Bournemouth last year

  2. Agree don’t have a problem w Wilshere but I don’t think even if stays fit we will ever see the Jack of 20 years old. Played ok at Bournemouth bit wasn’t any better then Obiang or Kouyate. And then u add he has played less then AC is past 5 years by just a few games but another sick note we don’t need and for £20m def not.
£20m we can get Thomas Delany, Chris Arnold, Berisha all better options to me yes no premier league experience but have to go that way sometimes and pays off if pick right play right and don’t give up on after a game.
I would have Elnent over Jack and they accepted a £10m from Leicester but he didn’t want to leave London or Arsenal I think but def London.
Roy Hodgson wanted him w in less then 24 jrs of being at Palace so he loves him as we saw for National team. I saw let him have him
