Hammers keep keen eye on upcoming results

The Hammers look likely to slip to seventh or even eighth place ahead of their game against Leeds on Monday evening at the London Stadium.

They currently sit in sixth place on 45 points but with an inferior goal difference to those around them with the exception of Everton.

Liverpool,  who are a place beneath us and two points behind,  entertain Fulham this afternoon and despite their present run of bad form look booked for three points against the struggling south west Londoners.rs.

Spurs – three points behind us  would need to beat Crystal Palace tomorrow afternoon in north London to  go in front of us on goal difference.

Chelsea and Everton – who are in  fourth and fifth places – scrap it out ahead of our game on Monday evening .

And that is going to have a big bearing on where three points would take us following that 90 minutes but fifth place probably looks the most likely position.

  1. If we win, we will be in 5th no matter what else happens. Everyone who is behind us right now will still be behind us. If Chelsea-Everton is a draw, Chelsea and WHU will both be on 48 points, and GD will keep them in front unless we win by 9. Otherwise the winner will be ahead of us and the loser behind us.
