Hammers kids win

West Ham’s U18s came from behind to beat Leicester on Saturday.

The Irons’ kids have subsequently moved 10th in the Premier League table after producing a phenomenal late turnaround at Rush Green.

They were in fine form, as they beat Norwich’s U18s 5-0 in the Youth Cup earlier this week and turned in another excellent performance this weekend.

Brandon Cover scored the opener for the Foxes but the Hammers turned the game around in the dying moments.

Kai Corbett equalised with a beautiful free-kick in the 83rd minute before Sonny Perkins, just a minute later, gave the Irons the victory they so desperately craved with a clever finish after his first effort was blocked.

The game was also notable for the inclusion of Amadou Diallo, who made his first appearance since his knee injury back in November.

The Irons will be back in action on Tuesday with a clash against Fulham, while their next FA Youth Cup game comes against Arsenal.
