West Ham’s new home kit for the final Boleyn season – launched tomorrow (Fri) -takes a really nice nod back to our roots.
No images have yet been revealed but on the basis of information gleaned it’s going to a look a lot like the one on the right.
We have discovered the Umbro kit will be a Claret shirt with sky blue sleeves and hoop around the neck. Inspired by the first shirt ever worn at the Boleyn Ground.
Other features include:
•Front features commemorative gold crest and years at the Boleyn Ground.
•Back features ‘Boleyn Ground’ detail.
•Made using lightweight, highly technical performance materials.
•Back has special body mapping for ventilation.
We understand it will be available for pre-order for 1st July
Based on this description, talented designer Sutts from the KUMB.com forum has quickly created a mock up of what the kit might look like.
I thought Burnley when I saw it
ITS A f cking VILLA top.hoops and gold is their ****. Booooooo
Can’t please everybody but looks alright to me,hope the away kit is good as well,
Looks a bit too much like Burnley. I prefer the claret at the end of the sleeves to be smaller claret rings – a throw back to the late 60’s early 70’s. Oh and white shorts & stockings.
I liked last years as well, but dont care what it looks like as long as the guys inside it do the business & i never see Nolaninho in one again 🙂
I know it was always likely the new shirt would resemble the one from 1904, but I have to say I still prefer last season’s Adidas one. But then, the 1986 shirt was the first one I ever had, so I would say that…
The gold makes it look too much like an Aston Villa top.
Would’ve looked better with white writing.
Need to see shorts and sock as well because don’t wanna look to much like Villa.
Pretty sweet if that’s what it turns out to be. If not, that Knee’s Up fella should be commissioned to design the next one!
