Hammers learn Armstrong price

Adam Armstrong will cost £20m this summer, according to a new report from Football League World.

The Blackburn striker has been heavily linked with a move to the Irons and it seems a deal could be affordable for the Hammers.

Armstrong has been in electric form for the Championship club and has scored 19 Championship goals in 32 games.

FLW claims that West Ham are keeping tabs on Armstrong, as are Newcastle, with whom he made 21 senior appearances before his exit.

Blackburn are unlikely to be winning promotion this season as they currently sit firmly in mid-table in the second-tier.

As a result, they are aware that there will be plenty of interest in the striker, with a £20m fee seemingly enough to lure him away from Ewood Park.

The report does claim that the Irons are also keeping tabs on at least three other options as they look to bring in new forwards this summer.

Mikey Antonio remains our only option as an out-and-out forward.

  1. I have watched him on TV on a few occasions recently and I would not be spending 20m on him, too small, not a strong work ethic and I believe a number of his goals this season have come from the penalty spot.

  2. Not seen what the papers would have us believe about Armstrong, if Moyes does fancy him though would be happy to see him given a shot. Suspect it’s Sima from Slavia that is number 1 target.
