West Ham have been linked once again with striker Mauro Icardi from Inter Milan following his high-profile falling out with the club’s Ultras.
The Argentina international is a figure of hate at the San Siro after claiming in his autobiography that he would bring over 100 criminals from his homeland to ‘kill members of the Curva Nord’.
Inter have made attempts to play down the feud, which reached boiling point when the skipper was booed by his own fans when he missed a penalty recently.
According to a report in The Sun, West Ham boss Slaven Bilic is ready to test the water by tabling a bid of around £25m when the January transfer window opens. He was previously heavily linked with the Hammers over the summer transfer window until Andre Ayew was signed for a club record transfer fee of £20.5m. Icardi has scored six goals in 11 appearances so far this season.
Here we go again……
If he becomes available a lot of clubs will be after him, we would have to change our style of play to accomodate him, he is no Andy Carroll.
