According to the Turkish media, West Ham are preparing to make an offer for Besiktas midfielder Atiba Hutchinson.
Turkish newspaper Hurriyet claims Slaven Bilic is looking for a January reunion with Besiktas midfielder Hutchinson, having managed the player during his time with the Turkish club.
32 year old Hutchinson was purchased by Bilic back in 2013 from PSV Eindhoven.
The report claims West Ham have been scouting Hutchinson for the last four matches.
It is believed Besiktas want at least £5m for the experienced 32-year-old, but it is rumoured Bilic believes he could land his former player for much less.
We have to take all these early transfer rumours with a large pinch of salt, as we have said before the West Ham cupboard is bare after spending so much in the summer. We are also up to our limit on Financial Fair Play wage bill. That said, never says never! We know Sullivan loves a deal and they will usually find a way to scrap together one last deal in the transfer window if the right player at the right price becomes available.
5m for a 32yo – yeh OK!
Thanks ever so much for the lovely offer and it’s a shame it’s 4 years too late otherwise it would of been a very nice bit of business as we know from experience we’ve had with Jelavic and we are now looking for a more youthful type of player that can either grow into regular team/squad player or retains a sell on fee, my advice would be to contact ‘arry who would no doubt think of him as a ‘top, top player, fantastic knows where the ball is top, top player’, good luck and happy Christmas
Do we need this mercenary? We started getting rid of dead wood why take a guy at 32 when we have Oxford Cullen Samuelson waiting for a chance
Why not?? He’s probably got a few years in him.
At 32 ?
Another rumour no doubt!
If a M/F player is required due to one or two below par performances then Cullen and oxford
Must be given the job , surely ?
At 32 the lad does show some life and commitment compared to some of a younger age ?
According to KUMB we are also being linked with Juventus forward Simone Zaza. Here we go again.
