Hammers linked with Bundesliga flyer

West Ham have been linked with a potential swoop to sign Bayer Leverkusen star Moussa Diaby.

The winger has been in electric form for the Bundesliga side this season and has scored 12 goals and provided nine assists in 27 league games.

A remarkably pacey wide player, Diaby is a France international with five caps to his name, and a report from Italian outlet Calciomercato claims that the Hammers are weighing up a swoop.

A deal to sign the 22-year-old would be a remarkably difficult one for the Hammers to do, given that he has a contract until 2025 with the German side.

He has European experience, as he has scored four goals in eight Europa League games this season, and has been with Leverkusen since 2019, when he moved from French giants PSG.

He is valued at £49.5m by Transfermarkt so it remains to be seen if the Irons will be able to convince Leverkusen to do business for the forward.

  1. Amazing – another U23 playing for someone else we are interested in. Shame we are not interested in our own – anyone told him that if we sign him he won’t get a game?
