13 goals and two assists in his domestic league competition already caught the eye of several Premier League clubs, according to a new report out today.
However it was Troy Parrot’s headline catching heroics on international duty that appear to have sparked the latest round of speculation and rumours after he netted a heroic hat trick against Portugal to keep Ireland in with a shout of automatic qualification for the World Cup finals next summer.
According to footballinsider247.com, several:
“Premier League clubs are on alert as West Ham tipped to move”:
For the ex Tottenham striker who now plies his trade at AZ Alkmaar after quitting Spurs in 2024 following several unsuccessful loan spells.
Apparently he “has not caught the attention for his Ireland heroics alone, though, as his 13 goals and two assists in 14 games for his club have seen scouts keeping tabs on his progress.”
“This is somebody who is playing in Europe, seems to be at the top of his game, scores goals for club and country, so they’d be stupid not to have a look.”
However you’d suspect West Ham will be one of many clubs jostling for the opportunity to bring Parrott to the Premier League – with 20 goals in 47 games last season, the 23 year old has the stats to back up the headlines. And he’ll be a very West Ham price.
And at his age, his best years are ahead of him. That’d make a change..
He’s a Spurs castoff…
If he can get to 20 goals in 38 games he might be worth a look at.
