Hammers linked with Seagulls keeper

David-Stockdale-Brighton-936729West Ham could make a move for Brighton and Hove Albion keeper David Stockdale who is out of contract with the Seagulls in June.

The 31-year-old has been linked with moves to Chelsea, Crystal Palace and Leeds in the past few weeks.

Stockdale was named in the PFA and EFL Championship teams of the year and when asked about his future said: “It’s up in the air, we’ll have to wait and see over the next eight weeks and see where we go from there. I know what the fans think but sometimes in football, there’s other things to it as well.”

Stockdale was instrumental in the Seagulls’ promotion-winning Championship season but there is no deal agreed between the club and player to extend his three-year contract.

The Brighton goalkeeper found Internet fame after scored two freakish own goals in the same match as the Seagulls lost at Norwich!

  1. I am sure most of these Journo’s must support other London clubs and are just on the wind up, where is the transferometer of truth we should put many of these down as nigh on impossibilities, I wonder what John thinks ? Oh yes he isn’t commenting on these, it’s going to be a long summer John 😉
