Hammers linked with Senegal int’l

West Ham have been linked with a potential deal to sign Senegal international Boulaye Dia.

CaughtOffside reports that the Hammers and Everton are both in the frame to sign the forward ahead of the summer.

Dia is currently on loan at Italian club Salernitana, with his parent club being La Liga side Villarreal.

The Italian side have the option to buy Dia outright but it appears that they could look to sign him and then sell him on for a profit.

Dia has scored six goals in 14 Serie A games and was also included in Senegal’s squad for the World Cup, scoring once in the group stages as his side were eliminated.

Everton are also monitoring his situation, with the club having sold Richarlison to Spurs in the summer.

The Hammers are also yet to be convinced by Gianluca Scamacca, so scouring the globe for a new centre-forward makes sense ahead of the upcoming transfer window.
