Hammers look for favours from north London

By Hughie Southon

Vladi Coufal is clearly back to full fitness after completing 90 minutes for the Czech Republic in their international against Moldova last night.

He at Tomas Soucek were in the team which which were held 0-0  by Moldova after beating the Poles 3-1 in their first European qualifier last week.

Despite the draw, the Czech Republic are top of Group E in their quest to qualify for the UEFA European Championship Finals next year. They have four points from two matches played.

Elsewhere, Ollie Scarles came on as a substitute as England U18s ended their tour of Croatia with a 3-1 win over Switzerland.

Coufal’s fitness is great news for the Hammers who take on Southampton at the weekend and it means that David Moyes looks to have a fully fit squad from which to select his team for one of the most crucial matches of the year.

With Leeds travelling to Arsenal and Everton entertaining the Spuds we will be looking for the north London sides to do us favours.

Palace – still very much in the relegation frame entertain Leicester City whilst Forest take on Wolves so the importance of this weekend really can’t be under estimated.
