Hammers losses piled up last season

West Ham are understood to have made a loss of around £30m last season

Turnover is thought to have dropped to around £160m from a high of £191m in 2019

TV money is be;lieved to have fallen to £110m,  down from £127m the previous year as the Hammers finished in 16th place.

The club took another hit in ticket revenue and commercial activities losing £12m in that area down from previous years.

The wage bill is thought to have dropped to around £115m from a high of £136m in 2019 but transfer payments are still round £60m per year with £46m of player additions last January in the form of Jarrod Bowen for £22.5m, Tomas Soucek for a combined fee of £19m and Darrren Randolph for £4.5m in January.

The Hammers lost £28m in 2019 and last seasons loss will go some way to explain why the owners injected £30m in a rights issue in July this year.

  1. Wow!! Is Sullivan letting you know that before the taxman

    • Oh shut up for God’s sake. You haven’t a clue. We don’t talk to him – utter stupidity, prejudice and nonsense. shut up .

    • Not sure anyone outside the club can work out expenditure and revenue of player transfers anymore, given the installment deals put in place. The money overdue to Frankfurt for instance, which year does that fall in? That’s just one example of one player.

So we lost more money from a worse final league position than covid ?
      Interesting

  2. We never paid £4.5m for randolph, so can he be included in this when Boro still owed us money for him. Your fiddling the figures to push us to believe we’re in a worse position than we are.

    • And you are talking the usual b……s. Shut up and read all reports everywhere on what we paid. Shut up or leave/or be kicked out. We ain’t here to be knocked by people with false agendas

  3. How is it the spuds have a billion pound stadium to pay for also had a government loan i believe a bigger wage bill than us yet they can seem to purchase what they need to take them to the next level and all this club has ever done even way back to the cearns family is plead poverty somethings never change

  4. All I have to say is this :
If you cant pay your bills you need to downscale your investments, sell assets or recapitalise . . . .

  5. They can role this out a million times to protect the mob who own us .Its not working .Every other Club under the sun is splashing the cash .Funny this gets rolled out just as Moyes says we hope to have news on a player next.He is right to knock back the dross offered to him. However let us not pretend that David Moyes has a terrible squad and a impossible hand,he has not !The fact is money was spent and some some superb footballers were brought to the Club.Just a few years back we had the likes of Kovac,Boa Morte ,Spector and Noble in midfield. With a way past it Dieogo Tristan,Franco amongst other on the bench.Back then if someone had told you that we would have a bench of Haller,Lanzini,Anderson and Yarmelenko on the bench ,you would of told the person to see a doctor .As I said yesterday ,it is Moyes job to the best of the star players.Anderson is our most gifted player since Payet .He is a confidence player ,and should be played a number ten .He will come good .I will go a habit of a lifetime here and saying it must be galling for The Board to see talent like Anderson,Lanzini,Yarmelenko on Haller on the bench.I thought people were joking when they called Moyes :dithering Dave. But waiting to the 88th and 89th minute to bring on Haller and Anderson ?Ridiculous. It must be Captain Rice on a permanent basis.Doom and gloom ?Behave not by a long way !
