Hammers make first offer for Moses

EXCLUSIVE

MosesWest Ham are chasing Victor Moses hard and still hoping to conclude a deal for the Chelsea winger.

The move has been  approved by manager Slaven Bilic and the club’s negotiators are still in talks with the south west London club and doing their utmost to complete the deal.

ClaretandHugh understands that the Irons have offered £6 million for the player who has been on loan at Stoke and Liverpool over the past two season.

However, the Jose Mourinho managed-side are understood to be looking for around £10 million  for a player who remains entirely peripheral to their first team plans.

A Hammers source told ClaretandHugh exclusively: “We are talking and believe a deal could be on and have made an offer of £6 million.

“Chelsea are looking for around £10 million but we remain hopeful that something can be sorted out.”

Be good to get both wide men and one CF,before the weekend,
No rush to let the others go as they will be going to the Championship and there is still the players with no contracts if needed,
But we have had 4 weeks to do this business,
Can’t understand why we have not got the Magia deal done we could have played anyone up front this week,Oxford used to be a forward its not worth getting stuck with Magia when we can buy Mitchu and Jalivic with the cash not that that’s what I want but it proves we could cover our CF problem in days

There’s loads of stuff on Twitter tonight saying the Zaza deal has fallen through – but other stuff saying the Yilmaz offer has been accepted – who knows what’s happening?

Moses and this kid from Nottingham Forest could provide the required width to the team – why do we leave it so late to get the Squad sorted out – it’s beyond me!

Would prefer to see Jarvis as cover. He’s not A-1 player, but…he covers the basics for his position very well…receives and passes well….jukes the odd full-back and sends in mostly decent crosses…two footed, can cut inside. I don’t get the hate for this player.

Additionally, Collins is good old-fashioned bruising cover as well…would like to see him stay and he puts in a shift when needed and closes down attackers better than most.

Maiga can go as he never really panned out and his work rate is suspect.

Nolaninho…either get rid or stick him up as the second striker and let the blind squirrel get the odd nut. He is too long of tooth for midfield and lacks mobility.

Amalfitano…hit or miss. Sort of like Diamanti or Behrami in a way (who seem to be doing ok with Watford, I think it is)

I suspect many last minute deals to be done- hopefully we can lose Nolan, Amalfitano, Jarvis, Maiga and Collins to free up possibly 150K a week of wages and -8m in the pot cash and then get Moses (although I prefer Remy), a striker, the lad from Forest and Song-

I wouldn’t sell Collins or Jarvis, both could be valuable when injuries and suspensions start to take their toll.
Ditch the others though, JOB too, (however after Jenks performance last weekend He makes JOB look a good prospect !!)

Stop messing about over the price so we loose him if Magia is worth £6 million,Mose is worth £15 million, but £10 million will do,
Sell Jarvis and you have change,
We do not need Barton we have signed Obiang to tackle infront of the back 4,Kouyate played there last year and was my player of the year,we Have Song coming and we did not have to let Poyet go on line plus Oxford can do a job there,
We need to remove Nolan and Noble from infront of the defence and put some ball holders
Like Mose,s and Lanzini or Lennon or Afitano to give the defence some relief,

Bubs I read on KUMB that Amalfitano ha splayed his last game for us? Does anyone know what his status is at the club?

  • CraigG says:

Would be just what the doctor ordered, well apart from the people who said put him in Room 101lastnight,lol,they would disagree with my sentiments, lol

  • Green man says:

Still need someone infront of centrebacks too.

Moses, potentially a great signing, just what we need, most important signing of this week for us so go and spend the 10m – still good business. Don’t waste time arguing – he is such an important signing. I can just think of this 4 up top… Moses, Payet, Valencia and Sakho in time…

Haha, still sticking with the ‘Slaven said’ routine Canchaz.Slaven said he wanted a loanie or freebie.Errrr no he didnt Canchaz. You said he said that 😉

  • canchaz says:

This and a Zaza loan deal could be a really good double deal to end our transfer business on.
Slav has consistently stuck to his repeated words of a striker deal would be a loaner or freebie but Moses as a replacement for Downing would be good business
