Hammers make spending priorities clear

Hammers to upgrade Rush Green

By Hughie Southon

News that West Ham could be ready to see a tiny Essex Amateur club in the shape of Bealonians evicted from their ground always seemed over cooked.

The BBC website report that we had made an approach to the local council and that we were ready to see them evicted from their ground really was more than dramatic.

As it turns out the Hammers have made it clear to us that there is no way in the world they would do such a thing and pledged to ensure it doesn’t happen.

But the best part of their statement to us was that they have, and always will, spend their money on players and that has most certainly  been he case now for two or three years.

They added that they are likely to be spending some cash on upgrading Rush Green and Chadwell Heath so the Bealonians situation may not happen at all,
