Hammers may face rivals for striker

West Ham are likely to have rivals for the signature of Fulham’s Alexdander Mitrovic if they decide to make serious moves for the striker.

For according to The Sun, at least, there is also interest from Spurs (unlikely), Everton (possibly) and Leicester City (again possibly).

Mitrovic is on a long term deal with Fulham and is set to cost in the region of £20m – £25m and the Cottagers will not be willing sellers as they bid to jump back to the Premier League at the first attempt.

A Hammers insider has told ClaretandHugh that he’s a player they couid  consider at at the end of the season following a season which saw him score 10 goals from 33 appearances in a relegated side.

However, there are fears he doesn’t have the pace required as the Irons look for an upgrade on their current strike force with both Chicharito and Lucas Perez very likely to be on their way.

And that may be the same issue faced by the Foxes as they look for a long term successor to Jamie Vardy who hits his 33rd birthday next January.
