Hammers may let six go

|

West Ham will consider the futures of six players once this awful season comes to an end.

David Moyes and the lads now look very well placed to avoid relegation after a struggle that has gone on for far too long but like last year there could well be sweeping changes on the way.

The manager is  looking to strengthen in all areas and that will throw big question marks over several of the squad.

At the back Sam Byram’s injury record and general form has been closely watched this term whilst James Collins now looks certain to be allowed to leave.

Pedro Obiang too may find a question mark over his future after more injury issues and patchy form during the time he did play this season.

Domingos Quina – as reported earlier – is another whose future looks elsewhere and Reece Oxford’s form and attitude when returning from Germany, before  being allowed to return, could see his Hammers career come to a close.

And finally Javier Hernandez’s stay could end after a year with David Moyes making it clear that he requires a more athletic presence up front.

Finish the list- Carroll, Reid. I know a lot of fans love him but I would add Antonio unless somebody can sort out his fitness. How many games has he played this year? Mind you, selling is one thing. Actually getting replacements is the bit we don’t seem to manage so a lot will depend on the promises of an improvement in the recruitment.

    • I included those I thought certain and Reid almost made it but marginal. Carroll mentioned in previous story

I agree with the exception of Antonio, He has has two great seasons with us and only one bad one of injury’s.

let him rest now fully recover, and at the least deserves another shot next season.

Will be a joke if Quina and Oxford Leave. Both seem to have fantastic futures ahead of them.

I would love to see a Rice/Oxford Partnership at some point in the future!

I honesty don’t rate Oxford or Quina. I don’t think Quina is strong enough for PL., and i generally think Oxford was over hyped. He had one good game in the PL for us, and it was blown way out of proportion IMO.

Rice on the other hand really does look the part.

off cause I could be wrong, but I would take 10-15 mil for them (each).

It will be a very different looking side come next season.Major overhaul in defence.Midfield and up front.Only bonus for me in this turbulent season has been Arnoutovic (on whom we are very reliant) and the emergence of Declan Rice who looks class as well.Next season Moyes will have a team he can call his own if the owners give him the war chest needed to rebuild plus he has some very promising youngsters which we love to see coming through.Unlike Slav he does give youth a chance and we need that and pace which is so important now in the premiership.

Unless the owners are really serious and willing to spend £150 million or more I doubt we will see any substantial overhaul, I expect more of the same as past couple of seasons one decent signing maybe two and some potential.
