Hammers may make new striker loan move

Arsenal v Liverpool - Carabao Cup Semi Final Second Leg

West Ham may turn their attentions to Arsenal striker Eddie Nkethia over the last few hours of the winter transfer window,

The player has been linked with the Irons over the last several months but is now believed to be in discussions with Palace.

As things stand the Hammers have made inquiries for six players with no luck thus far in bringing anyone to the club and may now be preparing for a late bid to hijack the south London club.

The 22 year old  is out of contract  in the summer but reportedly has no intention of staying at the Emirates and initially the Hammers are more likely to be interested in a loan.

The player has made only four appearances for the  Gooners  in the Premier League but scored a hat-trick in the EFL Cup game against Sunderland and one each against Wimbledon and Leeds.

As  result the Irons would not be keen to sign him on a permanent basis before taking a good look at him.

  1. Another terrific example of the disfunctional recruitment department. We should offer 50m for him another potential signing who will only lead to platers leaving. I just hope at this stage we end up signing nobody because the only way this can get worse is if we spend big money on a player who will not make us better. We need to learn big lessons from this window in terms of recruitment as someone has messed up greatly.

  2. We are a laughing stock. And no i wont keep saying Moyes knows best if we dont get decent Quality players in. for centre half and striker. You can forget top4 and everyhing else unless we make signings. Do they know what theyre doing ????At this rate goodbye Rice-CERTAIN.Dont blame him.Complete lackl of ambition.

  3. Transfer window isn’t shut yet Johnham. Why don’t you wait until It’s closed and we haven’t bought anybody before reacting to every transfer rumour with outrage whether it’s true or not.

  4. Agree Johnham this is looking like a masterclass in ineptitude. No strategy, no plan. Fail to plan, plan to fail. My head hurts.

  5. Why do we need to take players on loan when surely moyes has had plenty of time to scout his objectives. Apparently we have the money so stop mucking around and BUY the players we need instead of loan deals that other clubs don’t like!! COYI
