Hammers may well challenge for Eriksen

David Moyes may attempt a summer move for Christian Eriksen although former club Spurs are expected to be front runners for the inspirational Danish midfielder.

The player  has transformed things at Brentford since his arrival after boss Thomas Frank moved in on following his recovery after collapsing in Denmark’s clash  shortly before half-time in Denmark’s opening Euro 2020 game against Finland.

Moyes admitted later he had held an interest before Eriksen had  signed for the Bees but that Frank  – formerly in charge of several of the Denmark’s young sides – was probably more aware of the player’s position after leaving hospital than himself or other Premier League bosses.

However, he could now be tempted to follow up his interest  in the player and a Hammers insider has  told CandH that may well be the case.

The Hammers midfield is looking thin beyond Declan Rice and Tomas Soucek and a move for the 30 year old is a possibility although his performance level will obviously attract interest from other Premier League outfits.
