Reports in France claim West Ham have met PSG midfielder Adrien Rabiot’s mother who acts as his agent in Charles Du Gaulle airport in Paris.
The highly-rated 20-year-old has attracted the attention a number of clubs after an impressive run in Ligue 1 under manager Laurent Blanc.
Spurs were said to be tracking Rabiot but, according to French paper Le Parisen, the Hammers now lead the race to sign the Frenchman and have met him and his mother to discuss a deal.
The France Under-21 international made 21 Ligue One appearances, 10 from the start, and scored four goals last season. Rabiot spent a short time at Manchester City in 2008 was previously linked with Arsenal.
Rabiot slapped in a transfer request – via his mum in June. ‘Adrien loves PSG, he’s attached and would love to make a career for himself there, but it’s not possible,’ his mother and agent told Le Parisien.
‘He needs 35 games per season to continue his progression, and this won’t happen at PSG next season.
‘I’ve asked for a transfer.’

He looks like a spoilt brat. And his mum is probably looking for just the next stepping stone, not sure this combo would work well at our club. Although Payet might be able to have a good influence on the lad.
On the other hand we already have one Adrian. Maybe we don’t need another…:-)

Is a good talented young player but not sure we want a player who has a mother with a rolling pin as her negotiating weapon of choice.Sounds a bit of a psycho from what i have read.

Rumours flying thick and fast now, as everyone, it seems, try to upstage the other. Another site claims an Argentinian midfielder is flying in on Thursday to sign, whilst another claims Downing deal given go-ahead, whilst the one posting the Argi. deal claims the Downing deal will only close after the said Argy. signs.
Now we have this French guy in the frame (how many midfielders do we want?) and isn’t there a striker or two on their way, according to the rumour mill. Get all this lot and we’ll be able to sell last years first 11 as a package deal.

Obviously a good player but bit of a tantrum thrown by him or his mum which’d be a worry if he’s in a rotating squad.
Also Slav and Blanc doing business together anyone know if they ever made peace over the WC incident……and before anyone starts wondering I meant World Cup lol
