Crystal Palace are reportedly hopeful of landing Alex Song on a cut-price deal at the end of the season – mind you the report is according to The Sun.
The story says Alan Pardew is ready to do a £4 million deal with the Hammers no longer interested in offering the midfielder a permanent deal.
It’s understood the reason he has been absent from the Hammers team is because under a clause in his loan agreement he would have to become a permanent signing should he make further appearances.
The Sun reckon he’s on £80,000-a-week with us which is about £20,000 north of the actual deal and that he’s take a pay cut to move south of the river which conveniently is the only club in London that would be interested.
It’s a pity because he was once a talent who showed enough promise for Barcelona to sign him.
I won’t believe it until it appears in the Brentwood Gazette
Not being privy to the inner workings of the club I am only left to conjecture. It is a pity Song is apparently being shunted either to Barcelona or according to the Sun to Crystal Palace.I would like to know if it is lack of form or excessive wages that have brought on his apparent demise? As I said a pity because he is a talent.
