Hammers miss out on Senegalese midfielder

|

NDiayeWest Ham target Badou N’Diaye has completed a medical at Galatasaray and is set to sign for them reports claim today. A ClaretandHugh’s senior source previously confirmed him as a summer target saying: “We like him and we and we do need a midfielder.”

The Hammers were willing to pay £8.5million for N’Diaye, who plays his football for Osmanlispor. Slaven Bilic had been impressed with the player’s 16 goals from midfield in the last two seasons.

The Hammers were waiting for the departure of another player before making their move but it appears Galatasaray has beaten them to their man. Ironically, the man they were waiting for could soon be team mate of  N’Diaye with Sofiane Feghouli tipped to also join Galatasaray soon for a transfer fee of around £4m. The 27-year-old Algerian winger left the German training camp to return the UK over the weekend and expected to travel to Turkey this week to complete a medical.

We need another player to leave before we can sign more player’s.. Sorry that’s rubbish we have let 8/9go and singed 4 one of which is a loan ..good signings but we really haven’t spent that much with all! The players that have gone and the wages we saved.. Now we have let 2 of our youngsters join Bolton on loan.?????? Thought they would get a chance this year

I am not sure we needed him and to be honest its hard to guage a players level from being in the Turkish League anyway.

Very sad day …. We let 2 great prospects go out on loan and let the exact player we need to sign for Greek club . Why on earth did we not use the Fletcher windfall to go out and get this player . If it means Noble will play I despair and will watch Sarries instead .

      Are you off your block?!?!?!?
Noble will play so you will watch rugby instead.Top fan you are or you have a screw loose.

He looked dynamic but I’m not sure we were ever really that interested. A lot is we are linked w every player and another is his agents.
Unfortunately w Kouyate injured and Noble also now and slowing down wouldn’t have been bad signing. And they could have got him if they wanted too.
I am really keen on Ryad Boudebouz to come in he can cover Antonio help Lanzini and they would be a force togehter I think.
At £13m or so would be a shrewd sign w his stats and very versatile.
With Galatasaray buying him and looking at others is Feghouli going still…. He is worth more than Snodgrass on mkt.
Who knows but really like this Ryad reminds me of Gylfi

I have seen the youtube but don’t know enough about Ryad if he is like Gylfi that would mean he plays through the middle as a number 10 ? I hope we ditch Snoddy and keep Feghouli with him playing I am fairly sure we would have done better tonight, he can put his foot on the ball and hold it up long enough for play to develop, Ayew cannot and neither can Snoddy for us anyway, if we do sign Ryad would be interesting but as things stand I think we have a good lot of midfielders, on the subject of Gylfi I wonder if we offered what Everton were to Swansea whether they might sell to us, unlikely to happen but we are short of cover in the forward department and Gylfi would be a very nice addition.

Just watched Fernandes play looks like a good partnership between him and Obiang in the middle, our centre backs leave a lot to be desired so far Reid got himself stupidly sent off by a pedantic referee, no one in the centre of defence is closing the ball down similar to the start of last season in that respect, the players do look like they are trying harder, Chicharito could have had a hatrick with a little luck, judging by the effort the players have put in over the last few games I am pretty worried about the friendly against City who I am fairly sure will be fitter and sharper than any opponents so far. Declan Rice looked good, got caught underneath for the Altona third goal but made amends with a great goal line clearance.

I know it was only a friendly tonight but against a team that come up from the equivalent of our national league they played good football at times we still need a few more players in as the injury toll is not good at mo with Lanzini Kouyate Antonio & Noble out that’s 4 starting players yes Fernandes & Obiang looked good but with our luck with injuries at present we defo need a cm player & striker as Sakho & Carroll won’t be match fit for a while plus a decent centre half just my opinion I watched City v Spuds at weekend City could’ve had a cricket score yes there friendlies but we seem lack lustre at best
