Hammers must go for it…Vardy goal drought

David Moyes declared during his  somewhat non committal presser that West Ham are now an attacking side.

With no Declan of Mikey they showed against Wolves what they have got.

And if they are to secure their fifth double of the season they have to adopt the same approach against a very good Leicester City.

Having put the Foxes well and truly in their place first time round nothing other than such an approach will do of we are to climb back into the top four.

I can see no place for Said Benrahma other than on the bench this afternoon bit have fingers crossed that Angelo Ogbonna will be back to handle Jamie Vardy.

The good news is that although the veteran Foxes striker has managed 14 goals this season, only one of them has come since Boxing Day.

Personally I think – whilst hoping and praying for a win – that a draw may be the likliest outcome.

Here’s the team I expect to see take the field: Fabianski, Couval, Dawson, Ogbonna Cresswell; Noble, Soucek, Masuaku, Fornals, Lingard, Bowen

  1. As crazy as it sounds I would be putting benrahma right up top with masuaku lingard bowen all in behind. The boy is lively and one will go in sooner or later.

    • I agree with you , Luke . He ( Benrahma ) is likely to start putting the ball in the net soon . But he must be given reasonable opportunity . One reason is he hasn’t made the transition to playing in the Premiership like , for example Bowen and looking back even further ; Antonio . If Moyes brings a player off the bench it is more likely to be Lanzini rather than Benrahma today .

  2. Hope im wrong but can’t see us beating them with the thin squad and noble playing…no options
