Chelsea and West Ham target Luis Guilherme of Palmeiras

West Ham and Chelsea are today being reported as being neck and neck in the race for hugely gifted Luis Guilherme, who is also being scouted by other top Premier League and European clubs.

Tim Steidten is keen to bring in younger players with clearly big futures and it seems his powers of persuasion are about to be tested again.

The 17-year-old has played  26 senior games so far this season – an extraordinary number for one so young, making two assists along the way.

He has a very useful ability to play as  an attacking midfielder, winger or strike and has represented Brazil at under 20 level.

Football365 reports scouts from Man United and City plus Arsenal have watched the lad but all will be chaklleneged by the likes of  Bayern Munich, Benfica, Porto, Atletico Madrid, Lyon and Monaco. are all keeping tabs on the teenager, too.

Despite the interest, Chelsea and West Ham are being reported as being favourites to get the teenager.
