This may not be the most welcome news, but West Ham may have to rely on a trusted and frequently used agent to complete a stalling transfer deal.

Unique Sports Management CEO and football agent Will Salthouse will be instrumental in finalising the Aaron Wan-Bissaka deal in the coming days. It is thought a deal can be concluded this week, but there remains a stalemate at this time.

The Hammers have developed a reputation for working with select agents in recent years, with Salthouse being the main figure. However, West Ham have a recent history of asking agents to rescue stalled transfer deals.

Agent Barry Silkman was brought in when negotiations for Brazilians Luis Guilherme and Lucas Paqueta hit a roadblock, and it appeared the players were slipping through the club’s fingers. But Agent Silky came to the rescue on both occasions, and it appears the Hammers will be seeking a similar intervention with Wan-Bissaka.

In this instance, needs must, and if Salthouse can get this deal done, it will be beneficial for West Ham in what has become a problematic position.

Forget him, mancs always a nightmare to deal with. I don’t think AWB’s heart is in it by joining us now Milan have shown interest

    • Matt says:

This feels like they used us as a stalking horse to draw out interest from clubs in Europe.

I would be surprised if he signs now too.

  • Matt says:

I’m pretty certain we will have a back up plan if it gets too difficult to sign Wan-Bissaka.

I’ve got every confidence in Tim and his team!

    • Ian says:

Probably go cap in hand back to Southampton and pay their asking price for Walker Peters 😂

    • Manager Jeff says:

I agree. We will have a back up. Man U have been a pain, but they are mid-table rivals with us now. I am sure we will pull a surprise World Cup player out of the bag before too long.

Ehmmm, since Salthouse is Wan Bissaka’s agent anyway, what is the story here?

Nothing to see here, move on.

  • Craig says:

Sullivans fav agent now there is a surprise….personally i would not be bothering go find another as Tim always has a famous list so cross this one off and move on…defence needs sorting urgently not sloth like..so stuff manure and any deals in or out with them…

  • Arun Torgal says:

    Move on.

  • Kip says:

I think we are mad ..i think they should just pay it as he will be worth it ..I think he would make a big difference to our team ..sovwe should just suck it up and pay the 3 mill if that’s what’s the sticking point…3 mill in football isn’t alot…I know thats nitvthe point but do it before someone gazumps us imo

    • Pongo says:

The issue, appears to have more to do with the severance payment he wants from manu from what I have read, but manu need to give a little here as time is running out if they don’t want to get gazumped for mazzroui. And they clearly don’t want to keep awb. So it’s likely if they don’t put the goalposts back where they were they will end up with an unhappy player who will just sit and wait whilst taking the. Money just like villa, will have to with duran there are a, lot of idiots involved in deals these days. Me personally i would pay off ings and cancel his contract he hasn’t done the job his been paid to do and the same with zouma if he don’t go. And get oreilly in from celic he is quality.

  • Billy says:

Will Salthouse has long been Wan Bissakers agent has he not?
