Hammers offer player deals carrot

|

DiarraWest Ham are ready to do wage sharing deals on three players if they can organise loan deals for all or any of the trio this season.

But as the club attempt to increase its summer war chest, whilst making room in the wage bill for new faces, all is quiet on possible outgoings.

An Upton park source told ClaretandHugh that despite a rumour involving Stewart Downing, along with Guy Demel’s alleged comments about a possible return to Hamburg, all was quiet

The club is keen to organise deals  – loans or otherwise – on Modibo Maiga, Alou Diarra (above) and Stephen Henderson

A source said: “If we could do deals on those three it would really help even if we have to pay part of their wages.

“There have been no enquiries  for our players. There have been rumours about possible interest in Stewart Downing and there was a report that Guy Demel was considering a possible return to Hamburg but beyond that – nothing.

“The easy part of this business is buying players – the real trick comes in removing those who are unlikely to be a part of things.”
