Manu Lanzini was this morning descibed as having a “small chance” of making it into the squad for tomorrow’s clash against Southampton at the Boleyn.
With the Hammers desperate for some real flair the Argentinian is the most strongly eyed player among the fans right now.
He and Andy Carroll were expected to be involved in the 1-1 draw against Villa yesterday but neither made it amid reports that although fit, the manager had decided to take absolutely no risks with either of them.
And this morning when ClaretandHugh approached our senior source on Lanzini we were told: “There’s a small chance of him making the bench.”
The Hammers will be hoping that after the trouncing of Arsenal yesterday evening the Saints will arrive at Upton Park over confident of their chances.
We were told: “Things don’t look too bad for us. Andy looks ready and Tomkins is likely to get the nod. We will wait until before kick off to make the decision on Aaron Cresswell.”
I would play a 442 for the game against the saints and play carol and Valencia up top song obiang Antonio Cullen in m/f and oxford / or cresswell if fit , ogbona Collins tommo.
Parfit Williams , noble , zarate , jenkinson , kouyate on the bench .
The side needs a shake up .
Lanzini will not come back until he is 100% fit , but will need a couple of games to get up to speed !
We need to pick up points where ever we can at present , can’t see many victories with noble in the side and kouyate is struggling with his stamina !
They are our engine room and they ain’t performing .
No Problem when he is ready it will be great but until then let’s back the rest of the squad,
Time to rest Noble play Obiang and Song in front of the defence, let Kouyate puss behind the forwards,
Carrol should be back play Valencia wide and Antonio wide,
Zarate,Callum,Oxford,Jenkinson, on the bench
