West Ham have opened talks aimed at signing Grady Diangana to a new five or six year deal.

The young Hammer has burst through the academy ranks this season to become a valuable member of the first team squad.

He has 18 months left on his present deal and the club are ready to raise his current salary from around £1.5k a week to £10k with appearance bonuses locked in and reviews every 10 games.

Grady joined the club at 10 years old and signed his first professional contract at the age of 18 which runs out next June .

Any new contract he signs will be heavily incentivised by the appearances and regular salary reviews clauses and after making 15 appearances for the first team this season he can look forward to a bright Hammers future.

He has been hugely encouraged by the progress he has made under the academy system and has spoken in glowing terms of his former under 23 team mate Declan Rice.
