Hammers open talks with 11-goal striker

West Ham have opened talks to sign Lille striker Jonathan David, according to a new report.

Journalist Ekrem Konur claims that the Hammers are in negotiations with the French club over a deal to sign their strike sensation, who has been in unbelievable form this season.

David has scored 11 goals in 18 Ligue 1 games this season and is attracting interest from across Europe.

He is said to be valued at around £42m in the January transfer window and would be a remarkable signing for the Hammers were they able to pull it off.

Of course, we know that David Moyes is desperate to sign a new striker in the upcoming window to provide support to Mikey Antonio up front.

David has been with Lille since 2020 and has a lengthy contract that runs until 2025, and he has made a total of 74 appearances for the club, scoring 28 goals and laying on five assists in that time.

  1. I prefer darwin nunez because he same typical as antonio, plus more clinical finisher like raul jimenez
