Potts

Freddie Potts grabbed his first goal for Wycombe Wanderers in stunning fashion on Saturday afternoon.

The 19-year-old produced an incredible volley, striking   a right footed shot from the edge of the area into the bottom corner .

Sadly though the team were beaten 3-1 although Potts is clearly making his presence felt having become a regular in the Wanderers team. That will come as little surprise to most of us who saw him enjoy such a good pre-season.

Goals from Miles Leaburn, Slobodan Tedić, and Corey Blackett-Taylor gave Athletic their win the hosts the win at The Valley and leave Wycombe eleventh in the League One table given they were unable to getbtheir fifth win of the season

Meanwhile, goalkeeper Nathan Trott also saw his team Vejle grab  a 1-1 draw with Lyngby in the Danish Superliga.

However, midfielder Flynn Downes was part of a Southampton team which fell to a 2-1 defeat by Middlesbrough. Southampton now sit 13th in the EFL Championship.
