Hammers put midfielder story straight

ndiayeSpeculation that West Ham are closing in on Senegal midfielder Badou N’Diaye is untrue

The club has been widely linked with the £8.5million player who it is claimed also interests Crystal Palace but we have been told the Selhurst Park club have the field to themselves.

We were told the only circumstances under which he – which is hugely unlikely anyway – could be entertained as a summer arrival would be were somebody to leave.

Central midfielders are simply not on the club’s agenda -a position totally confirmed this morning – when N’Diaye was dismissed as a potential arrival.

Our source said: There’s no interest –  unless somebody were to leave – but were that to happen we’d sign a top replacement but as most know by now it is strikers and fast scoring wingers that we are looking for.”

  1. Good on them for being smart

  2. N’Diaye is also an attacking midfielder, so all stated above is null and void till we hear some more news. While we have a number of midfielders, we only have Lanzini and possibly, Antonio, as attacking midfielders, particularly if Snodgrass and/or Feghouli leave.

    • Yes has put in earlier articlenia favourite position is #10. But selling Feghouli who looks almost done expect for he still hasn’t agrees terms bc didn’t want to leave and £3m left on sign on Bonus some reports say we will pay other not. I’d rather him stay bc he has played in bigger leagues and has compares to other signing he sis very well with everthing going on last season 11 starts he for constent so makes lil sense to sell a player doe £1m and then buy a leas experience player UAW to Norway and Super Lig and statistically not even close to gaols and Assists. If he does come upw he proves me wrong but makes more sense to have replacement lines up before sell. We have let plenty go to thin wage bill.
Why not offer Ayew back to Swansea for Gylfi plus £15m give or take. They need a pace player for wings and Use him as CF. Since they got Mesa and Everton bid £32m and even the Vice Chairman tweeted it could happen. I would hate to loose him to Everton rather him stay but if we xoils get him here which we have wanted for a while his versatility and literally hardest working player by ground covered and stays fit. Can play False 9 both Wings and mid. Him and Lanzini would be brilliant and would be good Mentor for Lanzini. And Gylfi at 27 has he best years ahead

  3. Which makes the argument for Andre Gray realistic. We need pace in our squad big time. Its no good Antonio running his bits off to find himself isolated up top. I know Gray has his faults but the boy can run.

  4. I don’t believe this report, it states we would sign “a top replacement” not likely in my opinion based on what we have seen from the board after all the season tickets have sold each season. There are already top replacements available in the market but we are not offering the incentives to attract them, we are just a poor quality Arsenal in transfer market.

    • He can honestly I think he would do beat in Championship he won golden Boot. And the Racist and Homophobic issues. He is fast but Feghouli has good pace Chic is very fast. And he wants £70k fr £25k which is a bit much considering only 9 goals in league. Antonio did that and was played out his best position so much and rushed back to make is injury worse.
He is our most likely candidate but £50 not £70k. If we just want pace should have held onto Valencia.

      • I agree with that JRS and whatever people thing Valencia made the left side of our side more balanced and stronger defensively but many didn’t like him so he has gone for a fraction of his worth.

  5. And where exactly are these ” top replacements ” ? .
Glad to see the interest in N’deayi is false news .
Want to see something positive instead of Gray . Not much point in running your nuts off if you can’t deliver the final ball .
West Ham continue to amaze me with Thier youth policy .

    • Have you watched much of the young kids Kevin.if you had you would know why we dont play most of the names being thrown around. They have potential but nothing more than that at this stage.

If you havnt watched them at Dagenham go take a few matches in and then you wouldnt be like many who only shout about youth having never watched them..only saying.

  6. N’Diaye is he a striker?

    • No midfielder and can play as #10 his fav position.
They are saying this is no go but still a lot of sources saying chance with him.in London today. If we are buying for midfield would much rather give Quina a chance who impressed last season. But at 19 Slav will be reluctant but he is talented and tall with pace

  7. We should look at some loans to if want to spend most of money on strikers. RLC good loan looks like he could go to Palace. Even Costa from Bayern has been put up for potentially loan.Moses was a great loan for us. Wouldn’t hurt to help us get our squad right and make a real push this year

  8. I would also be keen on Christensen whonis a first team CB at 21 is brilliant and great on the ball. With Chelsea buying more CBs he will just waste on the bench like Ake did after recall. If we could get him on loan with option to buy. HW could get premier league experience and we need a CB even I’d rice is given a shot with 4 CBs 2 over 30 2 with injury problems and if we play 3 at the back which seems most likely he would be a incredible loan
