Hammers quartet on the mend

|

Sam-Byram-637845Sam Byram’s return from injury has been pencilled in for the match against Swansea City on Boxing Day.

The right back suffered a hamstring tear in the match against Middlesbrough and according to ClaretandHugh sources is making a good recovery which will see the player back in action within three weeks.

Byram was stretchered off after a few minutes into the Boro match but has recovered well and we were told last night that hopes were high he was set for the Swansea game.

However, he is likely to stay on the bench if the manager stick with his three at the back system which has had mixed fortunes since its introduction.

The Hammers are also hopeful that Cheik Kouyate will be ok for the trip to Anfield this weekend and both Aaron Cresswell and Michail Antonio could be back for a game of growing importance to the manager given the current situation.

Good to hear. We need everyone fit at this difficult time.

We do NOT need the animal Fellaini, so can someone quash the ridiculous loan rumour that has started to do the rounds.
