Hammers reach limit on fee

|

West Ham are no closer to signing Felipe Anderson despite reports in the Italian press that we are close to agreeing terms.

Lazio are remaining insistent that only £40 million will get him – possibly with add ons – and the Hammers aren’t having that.

Lazio have their own financial problems – and with no other interest from the Premier League – they are unlikely to get the fee they want.

The Hammers today vehemently denied reports  that they are ready to move beyond the fee they have offered but claim that the two clubs are still in contact.

They believe given the lack of interest from elsewhere in the Premier League they have gone as high as reason expects.

However, the two sides are still in contact although the Irons have made it clear they are ready to move on to other targets despite coming to an agreement with the player and his representatives on persona terms.

Turning into the usual epic no deal, not sure why we don’t push the boat out for Pastore if we get close to that Lazio are forced to make a decision, any deal comes down to fear of loss, if you want someone to make a move you need to create that, we can do it with Pastore or Seri just tell Lazio if we do the Seri deal we can’t afford Anderson it’s not rocket science but every year we make the same mistakes…

Always the same 32 it’s happend the last 3 windows with big deals ..we say it’s always other clubs fault but it’s a bit of a coincidence that it’s us AGAIN….it won’t happen now ..but they did try..😂😂😂

If the club have to make a choice between Anderson and Seri I believe they will go for Seri as its a much more important are to cover at the moment.

They said they wanted 40 million euros and wouldn’t accept less right from the start. I don’t know where the talk of them changing the goalposts Has come from. Clearly we offered a derisory amount of half the asking price and have spent several weeks haggling. Lazio have stuck to their guns. Clearly we have to either give them what they want or walk away from the deal.

Pastore is demanding ridiculous wages. Don’t even go there. We can’t just give whatever is asked for a player. We’d be skint in no time. If we can’t come to an amicable agreement then move on to the next target. For a guy that scored only 8 goals in 35 games last season it does seem a bit steep.

How much is Anderson worth..? I keep waiting for another team home or abroad to make a move now the deal is known, but it’s stoney quiet,do they know something we dont.If it was me if keep haggling whilst buying Seri, then run off laughing.COYI
