Hammers ready for monumental moment

Said Benrahma looks set to miss out on a Hammers starting place as David Moyes addresses selection issues for the biggest match of the weekend.

The Hammers everybody fit and a win over Man City would see us move above them in the league in what would be a monumental moment for Moysie.

Edson Alvarez-West Ham

Alvarez can help West Ham pass the Man City test

It will be interesting to see whether he pulls Aaron Cresswell into the back line behind Enmerson or whether he will go hell for leather for the win.

He has thrown some doubt over Edson Alvarez who won’t return to Rush Green until late tomorrow afternoon and presumably that would see Tomas Soucek involved if the new defensive midfielder doesn’t have sufficient time to train for the game.

The big irony would be to see Lucas Paqueta score against the team who came in for him ahead of the Brazilian midfielder being caught up in a betting probe.

The Hammers would break a winless run of 15 games against City were they to manager victory on Saturday.

Likely team: Areola, Coufal, Aguerd, Zouma, Emerson, Ward-Prose, Paqueta, Kudus, Alvarez, Bowen, Antonio
