Hammers ready to finance the massive progress

|

Gold celebratesDavid Gold has told ClaretandHugh that everybody at West Ham is ready for the step into the big time the club is  set to make.

DG drew plenty of sceptical comments and glances when he declared way back in the season that the top four would be looking over their shoulders at West Ham and wondering what was going on.

The chairman claims he didn’t expect it to be so soon and reckons his comments at the time were taken out of context to suggest that he did.

But speaking to CandH exclusively he said: “I knew the quality of the players we were signing and the manager has been amazing. None of know what he will do from one game to the next but the vast majority of times he has got it spot on

“We have arrived very quickly and we will not be sitting on our laurels. We know where we are heading and will make the finance available to take the club on and on,

“We always said the last Boleyn season was incredibly important – the same will be absolutely true of our first in the Olympic Stadium . We will supply the finance we need – this is a club well and truly on it’s way.”
