Hammers refuse to comment on Rice outburst

West Ham are refusing to comment on the expletive laden outburst Declan Rice launched against referee Jesus Gil Manzano in Frankfurt last night.

Thee Hammers skipper was furious with the official and made no attempt to disguise it in an outburst which  defied the 23 year old’s reputation as a peaceable character.

Mind you he is in good company for Lionel Messi refused to shake hands with the bloke back in 2018 when Barcelona drew 2-2  with Girona. Messi too was disgusted with the ref’s handling of the game

The guy has already handed out 133 yellow cards and seven reds in just 33 games this season.

The club meanwhile have revealed they are aware of the video circulating on social media but would prefer not to comment until the ref’s report has been considered.

Meanwhile the Irons  say they are aware of a video that appears to show Declan Rice accusing the referee of “corruption.” and shouting expletives at him

“The club is aware of the video circulating on social media but will not be commenting further until the referee’s report has been considered,” the club said.

“Ref, ref, it’s so poor, all night, it’s so bad,” England midfielder Rice says in the video which has been widely circulated online.

  1. Should be awarded an OBE for it, these officials in UEFA and FA have something against us, the Sevilla games, the Lyon red card. Arsenal Ramsdale and the handball anytime anyone threatens the elite clubs decisions go against them to protect the status quo. They will probably ban him for 10 games and fine us more than those that threatened to join the ESL
