Hammers ‘regular’ should be sold quickly

By Hughie Southon

Said Benrahma is likely to make some sort of appearance in the match against Topola at the London Stadium on Thursday.

And that may tell me what I have always felt about the former Brentford player who somehow managed to screw £30 million out of us for as bloke who is a but like the son in laws of this world – not quite good enough!

Benny should be on his way

First the good

  • He makes blinding runs
  • He takes a top penalty
  • He occasionally makes a decent assist.

But what remains after that? Not a lot it seems to me as he is often

  • easily dispossessed
  • produces very little at the end of those blinding runs
  • makes poor passes
  • and has an unerring ability to fire high and wide on too many occasions often when in good positions.

Time for Hammers regular to go

With the likes of Paqueta, JWP and the highly considered Mo Kudus in the squad, unless there is a very rapid change in the guy’s abilities I believe we should sell him as soon as possible sale before we face the situation currently in front of us with soon to be free agent Pablo Fornals.

Even at this stake he will not be considered ahead of the other three and last season was often subbed for Manu Lanzini.

With the kind of squad we are building right now I believe Benny boy should perhaps be on his way as early as next summer or perhaps even before!

We need better!
